Version 8: Hot Days, Neon Nights
This div layout features a character from Magna Carta. After last month's nice, light, and bright layout, I decided to try something a little more...sophisticated [at least I think it is]. I like the contrast of the oranges from the PNG against the bright colors from the texture.
The original image is from the Magna Carta gallery at Aethereality.net. I used brushes from Aethereality, AnimeShare, Celestial Star, Anime Rain, and Seishido.biz. The texture came from awmp, and the font, CAITLYN, came from Dafont.com.

Important Note
For new visitors and those of you who've just forgotten: I have tons of new content that I can't really upload yet because the files are just too large for my lame dial-up connection to upload in under an hour. This means that while I might mention new content, it won't necessarily be here right away. Sorry. But September is coming--slowly but surely--and once I'm back at school I'll be able to get all of my big files uploaded, like PNGs, desktop icon sets, and wallpapers. In the meantime, I hope you'll be content with new avatars from me--and don't forget to visit my affiliates and link exchanges for their new content as well!

Oh My God!
[Edit] It is certainly a pain to update at my mom's when I'm only staying the night, because I have to use a web-based FTP service [which means there is a limit to how much I can upload a day]. So last night I was cut off before I could get all the wallpapers uploaded, but now everything should be okay. [/Edit]
Hot damn, things look different, right? A little. If you know where to look. What am I talking about? Go look at the PNG page. Go ahead, I'll wait...Awesome, right? Unexpected, yeah? How did I manage it? I'm babysitting at my mom's. She has a seriously awesome internet connection, so I'm abusing it while she's taking my sister to orientation for college. Yay me! The downside is that I was in such a rush to get here and use the computer that I just grabbed a CD with some files on it, and there's a bunch of new stuff I worked on that wasn't on the CD, like three new layouts [two coded, one not] and the .zip for a new icon set [Nana, remember?]. However, I do have six new wallpapers. Seriously awesome ones, too, I think. I can't make up my mind which one is my favorite. What do you think?
Okay. Some other things you might have noticed: my affiliate list is a little shorter. Angela at Reminiscence has an unreliable host, so until things are straightened out, she's gone because I refuse to have dead links here if I can help it. Also, Ai at Deadly Nighshade has decided I'm not up to her "designing standard". We may or may not become link exchanges; we'll see.
Anyway.
So, in conclusion, there are a buttload of PNGs to check out, six new wallpapers to download, and...oh! Two new link exchanges to visit! I forgot about that. It's taken me forever to get their links up because I'm updating less and less at home [so sorry, but I still visit my link exchanges and affiliates and general friends], but pay them a visit: Yukie at Kuusou and Desiree at Anime Angelz Graphics. I also pruned four link exchanges: The Cafe of Broken Dreams [suspended account = dead site], Avatar Harmony [closed/moved, didn't feel the need to reapply for linking], Falling Star Designs [another suspended account], and Night Firefly [problem with MySQL = corrupted coding = no content = no link to me]. A couple I was sad to see go [Night Firefly and The Cafe] and a couple I hadn't noticed for ages that they were gone. Oh well. That's life. Link exchanging is always open, don't forget, so apply and I'll get your link up as soon as I can. And affiliation is open, too, and more than two spots. I'm not currently putting a limit on affiliates [I might have to later--I wish!], but I have no problem turning you down if I think your site could use some work. Okay.
